Woot! Carey Price is not the best goaltender anymore. :p

If you think a loss or two would unseat Price from being one of the best, if not the best (especially as a defending champion for Hart Trophy), then Idk what to say to you.

I think Carey Price is slightly overrated. I've seen how he plays and he seems to have trouble with rebound control. I like his positioning and technique, but he is certainly not the best, in terms of his rebound control.

Rebound control is not the best way to measure the excellency of goaltending, in my honest opinion. He's still one of the best goaltenders, if not the best, in the business and has stats proving so.

Whether overrated or not, one really needs to consider that he's won the Hart last season, and for a very good season statistically unmatched by other goaltenders. Ignoring that would just mean that Hasek's fluidity and unorthodoxy make him overrated goaltender as well.

Well, surely, Price cannot be compared to Hasek, at this point, but we'd have to see how he does in this season and forth. Lundqvist has proven himself as an excellent goaltender, both in season and playoffs, for the past few seasons. Can Price replicate him? We will find out.

Personally, I favour his butterfly style, but I do not favour his flamboyant glove saves.

Price is out with a lower-body injury anyway. ;)

Time for Mike Condon to prove he is a worthy goaltender. :p

By the way, why is the autocorrect correcting the word, "Condon", all the time? :p

Mark Stone of the Sens will get a hearing for an illegal hit to the head in last night's game against Detroit.

Too bad. I really didn't want him to make that kind of a check. What happened to Marchand, by the way?

He hit Landon Ferraro, not Brad Marchand.

Mark Stone gets two games.

It is interesting to note that of the suspensions this season (including pre-season), there have been 50 man-games in suspensions. 41 of those are from Torres.

Dan Bylsma throws a puck to some kid in the audience during the Sabres/Pens game last Thursday. The kid makes the attempt to catch it, but some jerkdick decides to step in and swipe it, staring the kid down to boot.

The Pens get their Twitter lit up with demands for action (it was mentioned that the person was booted from the game at the end of the second). The Pens let people know that they are aware of the incident and are they're on it.

Turns out they gave him more than a puck. He got two pucks and a Crosby jersey. The Avs tweeted a congratulatory applause gif at the Pens in response and CBC Sports also sent their regards.

All was made well. Good for the kid. Guy's lucky he didn't end up like the guy who tried to swipe the stick Niedermayer tossed a girl in '09. :p

Yeah. I totally felt the kid deserved more than a puck when he was robbed. I wonder why Bylsma felt after the puck did not reach his intended destination. :p

Byfuglien got off. No suspension for him.

Also, Chris Kelly of the Bruins is out for 6-8 months with a broken leg.

The hole is most likely to get bigger, as he plays more games. Habs should invest in signing another backup. :p

He was on the bottom of a three-man, high-speed, pileup behind the net. I'd've been more surprised if he didn't break something.

In three days, he'll be back playing like it was nothing.

Seriously, though, I did some digging and found:

Anyone familiar with Edmonton knows it's the worse case scenario for McLegend. Edmonton doctors around this team are a joke. Oilers physio is a joke, among the worst in the NHL. The man games lost for the Oilers are not a fluke. Also, someone tell crazy legs he doesn't need to go 100 mph into the corners, as a rookie... it was careless and needless. Look at the injury history of Oiler rookies and first round franchise players... it isn't a mystery that Edmonton isn't good for your health.

Hopefully McDavid is smart enough to have his own doctors and not rely on the quacks up there... the same quacks who told Smid to rub dirt on his neck until it started bulging and he needed surgery, and bungled Sourays injury and told management they Souray was ready when he wasn't.

I hope they don't consult the same shoulder quac... I mean specialists that they brought in for Souray.

Also, the NHL apparently felt the need to say it was breaking news upon it happening. And TSN really loves McDavid.

Poor Sportsnet though, they were gonna hype the crap out of the Crosby vs McDavid stuff on Friday.

He seems coherent enough:

Terry Jones (@sunterryjones) 47 minutes ago
Messier: "Connor. Are you there?"
McDavid: "No, I'm at the @#$%^&* hospital."
