Never have I ever been so happy for one of my predictions to be wrong. Seriously, congratulations Blues. You clearly deserved this moment, this victory. I'd give my commiserations to the Bruins and their supporters but the city of Boston (and indeed the New England area) already have a World Series and a Super Bowl trophy to take the pain away.

Congratulations, Idz. Shame there's no physical reward but maybe buy yourself a beer or something and treat that as a reward. Also, with the Raptors beating the Warriors to win the NBA Finals, we've had the best 48 hours of sport possible. Too bad Portugal won the European Nations League so it couldn't have been a good week but oh well.

They were in a sticky situation but still they get fleeced pretty bad. Not only did they trade pending UFA Hayes to the Jets for Lemieux and a first round draft pick, but they then traded that pick and a bottom pair D back to them for Trouba. It’s the kind of deal people dream about

Not to mention Gordie Howe played a season for the Whalers when he was in his fifties. I would bring up the whole Detroit Vipers thing in '97 but that seemed more commemorative rather than an actual game of ice hockey he took part in.

And best of luck to him, although unless he moves to a better team or if the Sharks carry on the trend we've been getting these past couple of playoffs I have doubts that'll happen. I would compare it to the UK trying to win the Eurovision Song Contest but that would fit better if he was on the Leafs instead.
