Well, this year is the first time all three Canadian teams in MLS made the playoffs.

Vancouver has David Ousted,
Toronto has Giovinco,
and Montreal has Drogba as their stars.

Liverpool and Villa are experiencing similar problems; good players (or at least decent ones in Villa's case) but no real teamwork or spirit. That'll happen when you lose such an influential man as Gerrard, A striker you can count on to score like Benteke, a captain and hard working midfielder like Delph, and those who have to step up in their places need time to adapt, or are nervous about not living up to their predecessors.
That and injuries up front aren't helping Liverpool's case.

Our problem has been for the last 3 seasons that when there is no Henderson there is no cohesion between front and back. He's incredibly important to how we play and not having back until the end of November is killing me, especially when Milner is proving to be such a disappointment.

No, he banished a great deal of potential goals. He's a goalkeeper. :p

Heh. No I thought they'd get relegated with Sherwood. But I can't see anyone really wanting the job who could save them from this position. I hear Rogers has been mentioned but can't see it personally.

Not really, but I know about it in a general football fan sense of the word.

I said 'Heh' as a reaction to the rather corny bit of wordplay that KoloToure made on the word 'Ousted'.

EDIT: Also, Chesham United get a nice tasty draw in the FA Cup 1st Round, Bristol Rovers away. We won't win, but hey, we might get on TV.

Try and get tickets in the South Stand, mate, the away section of the Dribuild is bleak as fuck.

It's not a lack of teamwork or spirit. It's just inexperience, I reckon. This team needs savvy leadership, not "pashun".

People are overstating the impact of losing Delph and Benteke, too. Realistically, Delph's energy has been replaced by Gana (who is also a better passer), and Benteke was effectively a non-factor for half of last season anyway, due to injury. The narrative focuses on them because it's convenient. And of course it's a blow, but it's not the whole story. Overall, the team looks to have more talent and depth this season, so this "the players aren't good enough" narrative is maddening.

Last I checked it was odds-on that Remi Garde was gonna take the job. Don't know enough about him to make a proper judgment call, but a continental manager with Ligue 1 experience might be better suited to getting the best out of all those Ligue 1 players we signed in summer. I dunno.

I maintain the team Villa have is good enough to finish mid-table. Just need to find someone who knows how to organise the team correctly.

It's a nice stadium, though. The food has always been highly rated and it's right on Gloucester Road so plenty of transport links.

Gee Wiz, Arsenal 2-0 to Sheffield Wednesday after 40 minutes. Doesn't look like there's a way back from this.

You beat Bayern 2-0 one week, you lose 2-0 to Sheffield Wednesday the next. Never change.

Wednesday doing Arsenal 3-0 is fantastic. What a result.

But nothing gets the schadenfreude flowing like Chelsea losing again. Hahaha.

wtf Greece.

I know you're broke, but you're hiring a coach who has failed at literally everything he has ever tried.

I can only assume that your plan is to use Skibbe's inevitable and total failure as a casus belli.

I can't wait for Chelsea vs. Liverpool. I feel sorry for Mourinho and his team, but I want to see Liverpool win this one.
