They for the most part align with my views. I support them for being supporters of Canada's military and cutting regulations for business's. I did vote for conservative in Election's Canada below 18 voting system thing they got going.

They do not support Canada's military. That can be seen with how hard they hit veterans. They care in the sense of buying more equipment, but give jack shit once you're out.

As I said previously, the person I know who has close ties to the military says a lot of personnel fucking hate Harper right now.

We've also seen spending on defence as % of GDP under him. We've hardly kept up to where we were before.

Not on buying equipment per say, but on saying they're going to buy equipment and then drawing out the requisition process for so long that it eventually gets dropped for being too cost prohibitive.

And now, the deluge begins as polls close in all but BC.

You mean the déluge when Trudeau puts us neck-deep into debt again after Harper barely dug us out? All that infrastructure he's planning to renovate is going to be falling apart again 10 years later and we're not gonna have a penny left to fix that. The most important part of government is the system by which it generates cash, because that allows you to invest that cash in building the country.

If you're trying to build the country with cash you don't actually possess, then trying to pay that back using a cash-generation system that's broken because you're in debt...then your next stop is Screwedland. I don't for one second believe that Turdeau is going to follow through on his promise of balancing the budget in 2019.

For example Obama's policy has been to try and spend his way out of an economic slowdown and guess where the US is now? That's right, deeper in debt than ever. Of course the US has the world's largest military and attracts the most investment, so their creditors can't really do shit..except wait for the US's interest payments to be larger than China's entire defence budget.

Ontario - another genius example of trying to spend your way out of a broken economic system. In debt? You betcha. Ontario's load is now the largest of any sub-sovereign borrower and more than double that of California, USA's largest state.

If I was the opposition leader, I would have gone straight for the jugular over how his case was handled. He deserved far more support and action from the government, and far earlier.

But good to see him doing what so many in his homeland tried fighting and dying for.
