Of course hierarchy and authority are maintained by the use and threat of violence. People should be able to defend themselves against aggressors.

Truly, people should be able to defend themselves against aggressors. I suspect that the only difference between us is who we consider to be an aggressor. So I ask you: who is the aggressor?

Last time I checked, we're living beings, who deserve the basic right to choose who we are and what we want to be.
So, if a woman wants to be submissive, sure. But it's a woman's choice. Men don't have to be dominant. If they want to, fine. But it's their choice as well of who they want to be.
Women and men should be whoever they wish to be.
Unless their wish involves being the new Hitler or Una-bomber.
