You were discussing low riders. The 59 impala works better than the chevelle.

That said, Anything that could carry the 454 engine is OK in my book.

Well, in terms of low riders, I don't really see an alternative. I mean, a Bel Air could be alright, but not Impala standards. And it needs a 454 or a Hemi. There was never a low performance 426 Hemi.

I was at a classic car event last year, there was some drag racing. It was funny when a VW T4 Van beat a Shelby Mustang GT350. Thought to be fair, the van had an engine from a modern Porsche. The scene for those VW vans is amusing and cool. I just wouldn't myself, as a fan 1980s Euro sports saloons, 1960s GM muscle cars and 1990s Japanese sports cars.

Ah, joyful car talk. I know nothing about automobiles, besides being able to drive them. I'll just sit here and nod.

Supposedly they are bad on the transmission though. And it's not gonna be cheap to fix

At least you can drive them. The only thing I know about cars is how to start them and how that actually happens.

Driving them is the easy part. The more difficult part is learning all the laws that limits how you drive and restricts everything you want to do when driving.

Once I'm sixteen, I should be set. I'm good at remembering banal rules and regulations, and I like machines.

If i can give you a piece of life advice, try and bond with dad on the cars, even to the point of working on them with him. It will give him something to hold onto, and make everything else you are trying to do easier. Always have the cars to bond on, evendors if he disagrees with everything else.

Step 1. Put foot on gas
Step 2. Steer
Step 3. Brake when you've arrived at your destination

Congrats. You can drive.

Which is why I have a small amount of requirements for my first car a year from now:

1. Basic safety requirements
2. Gets from point A to point B
3. Can get up and down mountains
4. Good gas mileage
5. Automatic transmission, not manual.
