No, im saying that if you call IRA a terrorist orginization then you also have to call britian and UDF terrorist then because they were much worse than the IRA (in civillion body counts). Also, their is clear proof that they bombed civillion targets, and that is unexcusable.
Edit: and I condem the IRA for that. They should not have attacked civillion targets.

Err the UDF were certainly terrorists, and I have no more love for Paisley than I do Adams, the British army much less so. OK, you have the march which kicked the Troubles off in earnest when some Paras shot at a crowd (which was Very Stupid), but the British military was generally pretty patient.

I do agree that later the police were patient but in the early on they were not.

Worrying about terrorists and revolutionaries does tend to mean armies get a bit too trigger happy. Still, the eventual outcome was mostly diplomatic, although Belfast remains incredibly dangerous even today if you walk through the wrong parts of town
