Better not to angry the Russian bear. Some Central Asian nations are still dependent on Russia. Also, plenty of Central Asia is going the way of China. After all, some of them border China while not all of them border Russia. Also, the Chinese are investing in infrastructure projects in those nations.

Also, "Westernisation" and "integrating with the West" does not necessarily mean joining the European Union. While I believe in the European Union project and would like Turkey to enter it at some point in the future, by "Westernisation" I mean a Western standard of prosperity, freedom and justice, among many other things.

Well look the EU. Britain will secede from the EU while there were be more cases like Greece. On other hand there is China and Russia that are becoming more powerfull. This is an evidence for me that the West is in crisis.
Does this "Westernisaton" fits your culture and habits? If not it is better you have your own path of development.Mollary wrote:Looks like the AKP have lost their majority; who is mostly likely to form a government now?
I m cheering for a MHP-CHP coalition.

They were historically Byzantine before and historically Roman before that, but I don't see the municipality of Rome claiming the Empire's eastern territories. Empires rise and fall and no one asks the people beneath their opinion, your "logic" regarding "historical claims" is as faulted as is revanchism.
Start learning some usefull stuff.

Do you know the Nagoro-Karabakh conflict?
Turkey was openly arming Azerbaijan and even got millitarly involved on the side of Azerbaijan so religion would not tear apart Turkey and Azerbaijan.

Eh...that's a very difficult question to answer. The AKP could potentially form a coalition or minority government with the MHP. The CHP and HDP have already refused to support the AKP in any way.
I'm looking at an early election.

A MHP-AKP coalition is possible, but not very realistic. They both hate each other.

Bad comparison, there is no ancient Roman around in the world that can claim anything.
