Because he's a bully who shouts down his "guests".

Rather weak sport.

Because he's a condescending, disingenuous prick. He's not wholly unreasonable, though.

Mr. O'Reilly has a tendency to interrupt and annoyingly talk over his guests.

In all honesty the guy is a fairly sensible and moderate guy even if you don't agree with him. He's incredibly intelligent, despite what atheists might say but in all honesty I just don't understand the hatred.

Jon Stewart's friendship with him obviously signifies that of a friendly intellectual political disagreement.

It's not even like Bill O'Reilly is the epitome of conservatism, theres a lot more people to hate much more than Bill O'Reilly, like Sean Hannity, orr Ann Ann Coulter. Why the hate for bill though? Or Megyn Kelly for that matter.
He catches a ton of heat in the GOP especially with the more conservative and libertarians, probably because like the op said he is sensible. Something the Ted Cruzes/ Rick Perries of this world don't get

Do you even read my posts or are you just making random statements?

Apparently he has a long history of being a dick to his production team, and as a theatre technician working in similar fields to those guys that's reason enough for me to hate him irrespective of his politics.

Its all part of his so called "News Show", with emphasis on the word '"Show". He should have stuck to being a TV news Sports Anchorman which was his actual occupation some time back.

Because leftists have this idea that Fox News and O'reilly are charlatans... which they are.

But are under the delusion that other News stations like CNN or Al Jazeera, Jon Stewart and his cronies have any more integrity, which they don't.

Why would I hate someone I don't know?

I have watched him. He is a yutz and I don't watch and ignore him.

I don't hate the man. He's hardly the most monstruous individual on Fox News, and has at times had moments of clarity.

Am I critical of his general performance as a pundit? Of course I am. His commentary is often filled to the brim with fallacies, platitudes, falsehoods and fear-mongering. Whether he actually believes in them or not, he reproduces and perpetuates right-wing clichés within political discourse. Plus, he's a terrible interviewer.

People tend to dislike somebody who deliberately spreads misleading information, lacks contritition for things he says that are proven wrong, screams at the top of his lungs to shut down alternating views and just is a general all-around knobhead.

Uh, because he's a complete idiot, and compensates for his idiocy by attempting to yell louder than the other guy? I sincerely hope it's all just an act, and that O'Reilly doesn't really believe the stuff he says.
