No.
Sports Med is a college level course offered at my high school. If you're involved in sports and know what a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) is, they major in Sports Medicine or some fancy name meaning Sports Medicine.

Is it a class where you learn about medical issues related to sports? Though, I'm not involved in sports personally and I don't know what an ATC is.

Basically that yeah. Athletic Trainers are people schools hire to care for injuries in student athletes. Depending on the injury, athletic trainers can provide care and save student athletes on medical bills or maybe not. If the injury is beyond their legal restriction to care for, they'll call 911.

and spirituality are somehow mutually exclusive does a disservice to both."
