So, there's not going to be any mod sanctioning of a Heterosexual Rights and Issues thread, so I'll just get started.

In this thread, feel free to discuss anything regarding Heterosexual Rights and Issues, debate, etc. Talk about why you're opposed to it, why you're for it, and how we can try to prevent things from getting worse.

Many people here think think that there are many issues and civil rights problems that LGBT people are facing. However, popular to contrary belief, I believe that Heterosexual people are beginning to face some problems and will face more in the future.

Thanks to the strong support of homosexual marriage, we have seen universities get shut down, forcing the 'antis' to bake gay marriage cakes, undergo sensitivity training, and even forcing churches to marry gay couples.

All of these things have happened in the last few years or so, and it's obvious that this is only going to get worse for heterosexuals who oppose gay marriage.

Any thoughts, NSG?

I find myself entertained that you're acting as if discriminating against homosexuals is somehow a fundamental tenet of 'heterosexual rights'.

Just because you are being prevented from oppressing others does not mean that you yourself are being oppressed.

Yes they do, Homosexuals have the right to marry any female (provided they are a male) just as heterosexuals do, and they can marry any male (provided they are a female) just as a heterosexual can.

They have the right to marry anyone of the opposite sex just as heterosexuals do. We'd be giving them more rights by allowing homosexual marriage.

What utter bullshit. I do not see homosexuals forcing heterosexuals to not be able to marry their loved ones, or really doing anything to subdue or otherwise oppress heterosexuals anywhere.

I agree with you 100%, heterosexuals have suffered far too long. I mean, what a hard life heterosexuals have with all their marriages, and oh the agony of divorces that don't ruin the sanctity of marriage. I also just feel sorry about how the heterosexuals are so oppressed, how they've been refused the safety of publicly displaying their affection.

Too many same sex marriages, I absolutely hate it. I am appalled at how pleasantly society treats and welcomes their homosexual counterparts. Just too much respect for homosexuals and not for the heterosexuals. Can you believe I heard the supreme Court was hearing a case about banning heterosexual marriages! Such an atrocity!

Yeah, things are going to get way worse for us heterosexuals. I mean, look at how bad things got for us white people after the government made us end segregation!

The only justification for saying heterosexuals are losing their rights is if you think white people lost their rights after the Civil Rights Movement. In which case, you're racist and homophobic, in which case you defy everything this country is supposed to be about.
