I'm not actually sure about healthier meat, but yeah, it really wouldn't surprise me if a burger and fries from a sit-down restaurant had more calories than one from McDonald's.

The meat could be leaner than what they use at most fast food restaurants, the cattle could be raised differently, possibly be fed healthier food, and some places could raise their cattle with less or maybe even no hormones. I don't really have a strong enough opinion to be oppose to the way beef cattle are typically raised, but I'm not against eating healthier meat.

A product of another time.

I'm honestly surprised someone is genuinely advocating this on NSG. I doubt even many children would like it these days.

It's alright. If I remember correctly, I had fun there when I was a kid (which honestly wasn't that long ago). They had a pretty cool Star Wars game that I played a lot. I don't remember how the food was, but it was probably average tasting. I don't really have any intention of going back there, at least not any time soon. I suppose if I don't go back today, I might not even have the chance until at least the end of the year. Where are you from anyhow?

This is perhaps the oddest I've personally seen.

Albeit it's probably amongst the least offensive or controversial things I've seen advocated on NSG.

Besides, I thought it had to close due to the animatronics biting people?

It wasn't supposed to be funny. It was more the suggestion that the number is high, as I have no idea how many of these chains exist, but the fact it seems to be known throught america suggests a lot.

I didn't know that they still existed. I hated them as a kid for being over crowded, dirty, crappy food, and loud. I can't imagine that they'll be around much longer thanks to smartphone and video games considering that you don't have to pay every time you play a game.

Not that this topic has any relevance whatsoever, but to be frank, the place is meant for kids and perhaps even preteens. I wager they're content with precooked food of dubious quality and slightly unattractive games. With that said, I knew I went bonkers whenever there was mention of going to Chuck E. Cheese's.

Still just as many calories and all... maybe more since burgers in restaurants are usually bigger. You're generally lucky to get out of a restaurant with a meal that's under 1000 calories.

My children are forbidden to eat fast food from fast food places. Either homecooked food or restaurants.

That's nice. Doesn't mean that eating at restaurants will be better for them than eating at Subway.

Eating at a restaurant is much better than eating at Subway. Anyway, I would be embarrassed to be seen eating fast food.

Let's not go that far. There's no harm in enjoying some fast food every once in awhile or if you are in a hurry like Dakini said. I ate at In-N-Out Burger yesterday for dinner. I don't usually eat fast food, but I don't need to feel embarrassed just because I did.

Since I moved to Japan, I definitely eat a lot more fast food than I used to. The convenience stores are full of sandwiches and onigiri that offer reasonably healthy, cheap and quick options.

When I lived in Vietnam, my main food was fried tofu and those white noodle chunk things. Sometimes I had spring rolls and leaves with it. It was good and probably would be considered fast food as well. I'm flying back there tomorrow.

Isn't onigiri just rice and nori?

Animatronics are cool. They just don't have to be stupid looking. Like the ones at Chuck E. Cheese.

Anyways, I went there in my youth. There was one in each area I lived it. It was fun as a kid. Loved the games. I eventually grew up, but the place gave me the itch for gaming. Skeet and (I know it sounds dumb) Stomp the Spider are two of my favorites this day. Fortunately, a gaming restaurant opened nearby, so I could still do that. at that point, I was gaming on consoles and computer, so I didn't have as big of a drive to go to them.

Never went to the animatronics show though. Always wanted to when younger but I grew and thought they looked dumb. Was never on the side that was scared of them.
