The place always smelled vile, the... we'll be generous and call it "food" could be described as "rubber" on a good day and "abortion on cardboard" on a bad one. The air circulation was poor, so the place was warm and stuffy, which only made the stench worse. Add in shrieking unsupervised children, and my memories of CEC the few times I actually went as a kid could best be summarized as "headaches and nausea."
I literally have no reason nor desire to set foot in that demonic hellpit ever again. If I want pizza, there are plenty of options in my area that are vastly superior in both quality and service. If I want alcohol, there are plenty of options in my area that offer vastly superior selections and don't come with the negatives listed above.

Nope. I know I'd just come home with a splitting headache and nausea. I'll stick to spending my money on places I know and like and not greasy overpriced childcare centers, thankyouverymuch.

The secret is to go on off hours when it is not so busy. Go when most kids are in school or go closer to the closing time when it tends to be pretty empty.
I will say that a small number of CEC locations do not maintain their stores as well as they should, but the vast majority are very clean and nice places to visit. Go back to your local CEC. It may be a lot nicer than you remember it.

Goddess, dear, do they pay you for this?

I know guys and gals that are old enough to be my parents that go out to eat at CEC by themselves. They are just fans that are passionate about the restaurant and the animatronics especially. Don't be so closed minded.
I'm a damn sight more open-minded than you, thanks. I just don't believe you, and cannot believe that any adult who does not have kids would go to a restaurant SPECIFICALLY AIMED at children unless they have some sort of ulterior motive.

Lots of people like arcade games, animatronic robots and pizza. I'm not being paid for any of this. I just really like CEC.
