Let's not go that far. There's no harm in enjoying some fast food every once in awhile or if you are in a hurry like Dakini said. I ate at In-N-Out Burger yesterday for dinner. I don't usually eat fast food, but I don't need to feel embarrassed just because I did.

I never really understood why people shit on fast food (especially McDonalds) so much. I mean yeah, it's bad for you. Nobody denies that, at least no one that isn't a maladjusted manchild. But it's not really bad, especially for as cheap as it is.

That said, I have never been to a Chuck E. Cheese's or anything of that calibre. The UK, more specifically Cornwall, is simply too boring to accommodate a pizzeria with dancing animal animatronics. Yes. Went there exactly two times as a kid. First time, I got sick. Second time, I was asked if I liked the pizza and my honest answer was 'no.' It was explained to me we could buy a Red Baron from the frozen food aisle and rent a movie and/or video game for a fraction of the cost and everyone would enjoy the experience.
At the time we also liked Pizza Hut and a local place called Pietro's. Both have changed considerably and multiple times over the decades.

Ah, yes, that game I never played. Haven't they made three or something in a year?

Anyways, the animatronics never really scared me. I don't understand why people are afraid of them, but I do suppose that they're sort of uncanny. I don't think I've ever seen them on at Chuck E. Cheese's when I was a kid, but maybe I just don't remember correctly. I don't know.

It seems so long ago.

I figured. I read that FNAF thread where everyone was saying how creepy the animatronic enemies were and you said you liked them!

Some of the ones I've seen in the mall are okay while they're running, but when they're in the shadows and turned off, you can put me right in the camp that thinks they're creepy. I can never trust turned-off ones to really be off or really be rooted to their positions.

I don't get why people find animatronics creepy. They are just like big stuffed animals that move and sing. They are beautiful. Maybe people just don't like robots.

I had a birthday party there once when I was a kid and thought it was cool at the time, but there's nothing memorable about it.

Puritanism: The haunting fear that someone, somewhere, may be happy.”

― H.L. Mencken, A Mencken Chrestomathy

These days the Puritans are not religious; they are those who rant about diet and fitness and who want to fine parents for letting their children walk home from the park. They are the health and safety life style police.

Fun is good. Just because something is fun does not make it bad. Here's a place which combines video games (evil!) and pizza and burgers (evil!) so it must be prohibited?

I like the idea of Dave and Buster's, too. They serve booze. it's where you go when you're too old for Chuck E Cheese.

Ah yes, when I was a child I used to go to one, I found the automatons creepy, and I found the games to be standard fare, the pizza was... sub-par and I remember getting ill once from it, plus it was a bit dirty.

Then my sister, who was at the time 17, wanted to go (woe is my family.) It was even dirtier, the automatons were STILL creepier than Satan himself, the games were boring, and the pizza was awful.

Honestly I'd rather go to Dave and Busters, no creepy automatons, less whining children, more games meant for people who can hold their stomachs without crying. Further more,it's clean, the food is GREAT (Especially the artichoke dip, that is good stuff) and I actually like it as a whole.

The animatronics are my favorite part. I don't see why you'd think what are essentially singing stuffed animals are scary.

Well, Chuck E Cheese (the rat) once slapped a friend of mine off the stage.

That is why you should stay off the stage. The animatronics don't actually move with very much force at all though. Unless your friend was very young I don't think Chuck would be able to slap him off his feet.

What is wrong with their eyes? I think they look nice.

You should go. You can get a bunch more tokens. If you look through them you can sometimes find old ones from the 90's or even 80's if you are really lucky.
