I'd say that reproduction, as a basic aspect of the continuation of a species, is inherently meaningful. However, it's not necessary for all members of a species to participate so long as a sufficient population can be maintained, and the ability to do so certainly shouldn't be a prerequisite for having one's relationship recognized by the state.

I'm pondering whether or not I'll get the laser to get rid of any icky facial hair as soon as it is possible. I'm not sure if I wanna be off to a stable start to transition.
