So I was at the monthly gathering in the town over, where some friends I made learning to fence and I get together in armor and beat each other with practice weapons in a mock tournament. Anywho they found out I was gay today and I ended up being christened the Rainbow Knight, and so ended up wearing a big ass rainbow flag over my armor like a cape/cloak.

It was kind of funny.

When necessary, I fight with condescension and bitter dryness, since I'm not big enough to get physical.

I should note, though, that I'm pretty dang skinny. Most of my weight comes from the fact that I'm tall and have big bones.

Yup, that'd do it. I'm 6' 2.5", and very broad-shouldered. That, too, is a family thing: my mother's side of the family is big-boned and fairly tall, while my father's side of the family is freakishly tall and, presumably, also probably big-boned (don't really know them, so idk). We are the giants, and do not understand the pixies petite folk.

I mean, honestly. When I realise that some people can't see on top of their fridge, and that they actually need step stools for things, I have to take a moment to come to terms with the bizarreness of it all.

Anyway, we're kind of drifting off-topic.

I'm probably the heaviest of our trans population on NSG by a fairly significant margin. Probably safe to say I could shed another 30 to 45 pounds, but hormones would have to carry me the rest of the way.

I'm 250.

Well, I don't think you should worry about it too much, but considering that trans women have, historically, often been excluded from the lesbian community, you do have good reason to do so. (And I would say the same applies to trans men and the gay community.)

I mean, they're getting much better, I think -- most of the cis queer people I know are pretty good allies to trans people -- but still, transphobia is definitely not unheard of among gay and lesbian people.

Damn, two Callies won't even equal one Marisa in mass. I also worry a bit about dating although it's probably a lot less likely we'd run into transphobes who resort to actual violence. However, the most likely culprit would be the TERF such as Chessmistress.

(Personally, one of my best lesbian friends has said that she finds trans women quite attractive.) That said, some lesbians are simply not attracted to most trans women (which is perfectly fine, because everyone has personal preferences), some are transphobic, and I would say that a problem arises with lesbians who are protective of their identity and/or "gold star" status and don't want to lose that by dating/having sex with a trans women (especially not one with a penis).

Same. I'm not really eager to jump into parenthood, well, ever. I can experience the joy of children in my brother's children (which he's likely going to have, though it's hard to tell at this point since he's only eight).

Yup! Don't worry, I haven't forgotten about it, and I still work on it in my spare time. The problem is that I've recently gotten a full-time job (I start between 8:30 and 9:00 and end between 5:00 and 6:00 every weekday, and it's exhausting because I'm taking care of several children on my own), so I haven't had much time at all. However! I have this coming week off, so I should be able to work on it much more, and hopefully complete it! ^_^
