The worst global recession since the Second World War coupled with a major political scandal. That's the root cause of all this. The SNP and the UKIP are just riding the wave of public discontent.

I'm drinking Red Bull, and have a jar of jellybeans at my desk. I'm going to be up all night, I need sugar and caffeine.

No alcohol for me tonight, I think. I have school tomorrow, wouldn't want to be hungover.

Unfortunately, I have no alcohol. I was too optimistic it seems. Or at least more in line with opinion polls.

Why are you so depressed, the SNP is doing so well, Scotland will be independent, no joke.

Plus, you always tell us that Miliband is hardly different from Cameron. Who's to say that Miliband won't be another Hollande? Someone who goes through with austerity, despite promises that he won't?

Because unfortunately, I'm pretty confident that I'm slightly too far removed from Scotland for them to give me citizenship.

Any Lib Dems who want their party to actually survive and regrow will hope Clegg loses his seat. Because if he wins and takes them into another Tory agreement, they're boned.

Probably the result that's made me most happy tonight, besides George Galloway being arrested. The Ulster Unionists are one of the few parties in the UK I legitimately like, if only because next to the DUP and Sinn Fein it's hard not to look like a good option.

Will the LibDems dissolve? Maybe, it's unlikely, but somewhat plausible.

Salmond is excited.
