Latest Fox News Poll: Trump (11%) surges into second place, 4% behind Jeb Bush (15%). *giggles*

There have been - and are - better candidates. None of them are running.

There are lot of better candidates than trump running. Now, that's admittedly a low bar to clear, but it is so.

The Fox Poll was different, it was a nationwide poll, not just concerning NH. So, it is more inclusive than the Suffolk poll. Bad news for Tronald though, only 29% would even consider voting for the class "assclown".

And in the category of the polls are not so reliable, try the Citizens United Poll with Jeb in 7th at 4.5% and Ben Carson leading with 18%. Trump is fourth in this one with 13.1%. :eyebrow:

Ah yes, I was suggesting there are a lot of better candidates than the ones we're picking from - rather than just Trump. But yes, I agree. Trump is pretty close to the bottom of even the available list. It's hard to work out whether Trump is actually worse than Perry.

Carson and Fiorina would have a hard time being worse than Trump. I mean, Perry's bad, but Trump is in a league of his own.

Normally I might have less trouble saying that Perry wasn't the worst human being ever, but in the wake of saying that the recent church shooting was an 'accident', I'm finding it hard to believe even Trump is a more hateful person.

That poll couldn't really be a scientific one. 4300 respondents came up with that? Where did they find these people, Tea Party Headquarters?

I definitely want either Carson or Trump. I'm just hoping Rand Paul or Bush doesn't get elected.

Yes, he does support gun control, but his power on the issue is limited to a few words here and there.

IMHO, none of them are getting elected. As for the nomination, either Carson or Trump getting it is a forlorn hope. But if somehow they did... it would spell the end of the party as we know it.

Probably a good thing.

Let's fix the Affordable Care Act with liberal and conservative ideas to make it work better for Americans.

Repeal and replace Obamacare!

Looks around for primary challengers.

Replace it with what?
*I am a master proofreader after I click Submit.
* There is actually a War on Christmas. But Christmas started it, with it's unparalleled aggression against the Thanksgiving Holiday, and now Christmas has seized much Lebensraum in November, and are pushing into October. The rest of us seek to repel these invaders, and push them back to the status quo ante bellum Black Friday border. -Trotskylvania
* Silence Is Golden But Duct Tape Is Silver.
* I felt like Ayn Rand cornered me at a party, and three minutes in I found my first objection to what she was saying, but she kept talking without interruption for ten more days. - Max Barry talking about Atlas Shrugged

The Repubs act unified, but care more about repealing than replacing. I fear them accomplishing the first part but then being divided between pragmatic Republicans and stubborn Ted Cruz-types, all while millions of people lose health insurance.

By the way: I was kidding in that post, if the small font and strike didn't hint that.

Don't worry about it. Even if I agree with a lot of Republican ideas on health care (hence my support for bipartisan plans), the party's attitude is inchoate and obstructive.
