But you claim Jihad is barbaric, right?

I don't care whether or not it's "barbaric." I just care about crushing it, once and for all, by whatever means expedient. As should have been done at any time since 636 A.D.

Because you always complain whenever someone subjects the Crusades to our "modern day morality", yet you see no issue with exporting centuries-old morality into the modern era.

The complaints are only when its done in a negative light, ;)

Aw, do you have a bad case of xenophobia?

Educate yourself about the world, I pray your still a kid and there's still hope.

I've probably forgotten more about "the world" than you've ever known. I've traveled extensively, especially in Asia. I've worked in South Korea and done business in Japan. And I'm long past being a "kid". On the other hand, there may still be hope for you ;)

Chezovolvia wrote:Just thought I'd let you know that Jews, Christians, and Muslims all worship the same God. I love it when my ignorant countrymen hear that one, especially after they say "Damn Allah".

Just thought I'd let you know that Moslems, by their own words, do not "worship the same God" as Jews, Christians, or Hindus, Buddhists or Amazonian jungle shamans for that matter.

Sura 109: The Disbelievers
Say: O disbelievers!
I worship not that which ye worship,
Nor worship ye that which I worship.
And I shall not worship that which ye worship.
Nor will ye worship that which I worship.
Unto you your religion, and unto me my religion.
(see http://www.usc.edu/schools/college/crcc ... 9.qmt.html )

So much for "worshipping the same God."

The "Allah" of Islam is no more the One True God of Christianity than Zeus, Re or Odin is. Onomastics don't determine theological identity.

So, you like theocratic dystopias with aliens killing willy nilly. Somehow, I'm not entirely suprised

I like the game. I think the Emperor is Josef Stalin with psychic powers, and not very smart at that. My Space Marines chapter only pays lip service to the Imperial Cult anyway. :D

And that's as far as I'm going with this. Continue it in Forum 7 if you like.

NM doesn't really care, Buffy. Anyway, crushing Islam became coulds-woulda-shoulda in August of 636. After the Yarmouk, the Romans weren't in a position to crush anyone.

People can subject the Crusades to whatever "morality" they like, I don't care. I won't agree with any such analysis anyway.

I don't care about "complaints" in general. I call it like I see it. If enough voters agree with the position I advocate for, we win. If not, not.

Sad but true, at least until 1097 A.D. and subsequent squandered opportunities. And I'm impressed with your recognition of the cited date. Go to the head of the class. ;)

If I were to be issued one with a verse on it, I would simply do the following:

- Sweep my two forefingers diagonally across my, chest, to curse it.
- Get a file, apply elbow grease, and start filing off the verse.
- Allow others who are concerned with it to deal with the problem, seeing as they are already on it.
Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way, if they get pissed, they'll be a mile away- and barefoot.

Unlike the God/"Allah" comparison, that would be valid. The two names are actually etymologically related, as well as denoting roughly theologically equivalent deities.

Its similar in the sense that they both come from the same source, the differences come in when you decide to take Jesus or Mohammed as his final profit...

I would imagine that most Christians would feel a little uneasy when their Scriptures - which notably promote "Thou shalt not kill" as one of the Ten Commandments - are being etched out on firearms.

Not to mention the fact that using guns with Bible citations on them would be a propaganda dream for al-Qaeda.

Al-Qaeda's whole platform is that they are defending Islam from the Western Christian Crusaders, out to enslave the Middle East and enforce their religion upon its population.

Can you see how using guns with Bible citations may add some veracity to these claims?

One of Al-Qaeda's primary recruitment tools is convincing young, impressionable Muslims that the West is engaging in a "10th Crusade", so to speak, against them...

Allowing Christian Epithets to be used on our Weapons would be among the greater justifications for that assertion...

"Best weapon to date?" Naw, that would be Eric Holder. :palm:

But there might, just possibly, be some merit in the argument that the guns may be counter-productive, seeing as we have not yet publicly admitted that this is in fact a holy war against Islamo-Nazism. If we ever do admit it, then it won't matter what's on our guns, only what comes out of them.

You can always be counted on for cute, baseless hyperbole that could land you a career on FOXNews. Got and direct proof that Eric Holder is supporting Al'Qaeda? Probably not knowing you but I'd ask anyways.

So you finally admit that you're hoping for a holy war against Islam. Well, that's a change of pace coming from you.
Crimes committed by Muslims will be a pan-Islamic plot and proof of Islam's inherent evil. On the other hand crimes committed by non-Muslims will merely be the acts of loners who do not represent their belief system at all.
The probability of one's participation in homosexual acts is directly proportional to one's public disdain and disgust for homosexuals.
If a political figure makes an accusation of wrongdoing without evidence, odds are probable that the accuser or an associate thereof has in fact committed the very same act, possibly to a worse degree.
