Emotional/Mental disorders

Postby Conserative Morality » Mon Jun 15, 2009 7:28 pm

Just wondering, how many of you Generalites have a diagnosed emotional or mental disorder of some kind? Well, for those of you who are comfortable with sharing this, at least.

I ask this because I was recently diagnosed with a mild Bipolar Disorder. Quite a few people on my father's side have this as well, including my father, so I'm lucky that it isn't as severe as it could be.

Well, I was diagnosed with multiple personality disorder a few years ago. I have four separate personalities.
Venicilian: wow. Jesus hung around with everyone. boys, girls, rich, poor(mostly), sick, healthy, etc. in fact, i bet he even went up to gay people and tried to heal them so they would be straight.
The Parkus Empire: Being serious on NSG is like wearing a suit to a nude beach.
New Kereptica: Since power is changed energy over time, an increase in power would mean, in this case, an increase in energy. As energy is equivalent to mass and the density of the government is static, the volume of the government must increase.

Executive functions problems and sub-clinical depression. Can't ever get myself to do anything, even if I want to.

I have the fear of talking on telephones. I swear. I can't stand talking on a cellphone or anything like that. I don't know if that's a legitimate fear but... I'll go to Earth's ends and back to avoid a phone call. Interestingly, I have no other social problems, etc. I love talking to people and getting together. It doesn't matter who it is. I like people, just not people on the phone.

I don't knowingly have any such disorders and I don't believe I know of anybody in my family has a history either. In real life I'm actually a pretty calm, stable and level headed person.

Goddamnit, I keep telling people. There are no such things as mental or emotional disorders.

You simply have the immortal ghosts of dead space aliens clingining to you and causing unwanted reactions in your mind.

All this hokum about "mental disorders" and "emotional conditions" and "the brain is a functioning organ that can become ill like any other" makes you all sounds ridiculous. Christ, come out of the dark ages.

Had a bad case of severe depression (which I'm still taking pills for), struggle with anxiety and low self-esteem (gotta love counseling), and apparently does not think like 80% of the standard population (Doc found that out after he tried to diagnosed me with either bi-polar or ADD, but after all the tests, I didn't didn't fall into either category yet my answers were not that of the majroty of people who are tested). The Doc thinks I might have some learning disabilities, yet I'm not covered to be tested on that and since I've made it this far into university without many problems...I'm not willing to shell out money to be told I'm messed up.

So we're all crazies...or full of immortal ghosts of dead space aliens...that explanation does make more sense.

Antidaephobia - The fear that somewhere, somehow, a duck is watching you.

Seriusly... Asperger's syndrome (Is that how you spell it?). Really, more of a glorified form of awkwardness. But keep in mind that I'm the sanest out of everyone I hang out with - One of my friends has Multiple Personality and anger issues, another is self-proclaimedly nuts, although I don't blame him... He lives in a house with an autistic brother that won't stop watching Disney.

This reminds me... Are Prophets insane, or is it the other way around?
Jesus God almighty man, look at that lot over there! They've spotted us!
