I live in a very rural area, which means that, unfortunately, a lot of animals get dropped off by those who don't want to take care of them. I have two different friends who have more than half a dozen dogs that they take care of because their neighborhoods are popular spots to drop them off. My grandmother has some like that as well. Basically, I've always been a softie for giving animals a new home when they need it.
That's sad. Dumping animals that way.

It really is. They're all a bunch of sweethearts, too. One of them, a big German Shepard named Goliath, is one of the biggest dopes I've ever met. The other friend has a cat named Sister that I'm pretty sure is close to achieving World Domination, but I'm totally okay with that.

Also, apparently Hillary Clinton came to a Chipotle near me today.
A reason I don't let my cat out. Small towns... they may look peaceful and spick n' span but peel off the fresh coat of paint from the white picket fences and sometimes, what you find, leaves you nauseated.

Huh. I remember watching one documentry that was at the same time a movie about a virus that struck the entire world and the resulting chaos and stuff, while following a single family.

I'm glad I live in the suburbs, where the narsty is all but guaranteed...but all the same, its' presence in small towns is disquieting. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, though...

That's why I said ''sometimes''. I'm sure some small towns do not have a dark side. Or I hope. But it makes me always give things a second look.

Wanna talk about dark sides?
I just learned that my home city is a major human sex trafficking hub. Yep, wonderful news...
