The humane society in this town has even gone so far as to lower the adoption fees to $20-$25 (when the regular fee is around $50 for other cats) just so that the poor felines can get a home.

I'd always wanted a Scottish Fold, but I've come around to adopting from a shelter. It seems better that way, to get one who already needs a home.
