I agree with reducing the market for sex slavery. Legalizing and regulating prostitution is a major avenue in achieving that. So, yes.

So like a necessary evil? I think prostitution is disgusting, but if only to harm the industry of sex slavery, then I'd agree with legalizing it.

But doesn't prostitution increase STD's?

Does it matter?

Condoms only protect against bacterial infections, which is why all sexually active people are expected to get genital herpes or HPV or both in their lifetime.
Legalize gay weed

Organized, regulated, legal prostitution probably wouldn't increase the spread of STDs as much as you would expect. That's bad for business.

Well, disgusting or not, legalizing it would be better for the prostitutes and their clients.

Not anymore than general promiscuity. I'd argue that legal sex workers would spread fewer STDs than the alternative. Mandatory screenings for sex workers and mandatory condom use would help a lot.

Agreed. And, it would increase public ratings for you like there's no tomorrow.

I think there are more people opposed to legal prostitution than for it, sadly.

Hmm.

It's "funny". I hear the highest STD rates are in the Deep South...

True. I have mixed opinions about legalized prostitution. On one hand, it would allow people who did not have have a partner to have sexual contact, increasing happiness. On the other hand, it would destroy the meaning of sex, and make one of the most important actions in nature into a consumable product.

What meaning does sex have that would be destroyed by legal prostitution, exactly?

I have a hard time believing all sexually active people get genital herpes.

Sex historically is done by intimate partners (or rapists, but they're a minority). Legalized prostitution would allow people to pay for it, and make it into a consumable product.

I'm fairly certain that promiscuity and prostitution are about as old as "intimate" sex, actually.

It's already a consumable product, just not a legal one. That's the problem.

Well me personally, I'm against it because I don't think sex should be a consumable product, like All said.

I'm also opposed to it for, erm.......religious reasons...
