The founding fathers also seemed not too concerned with slavery, though that didn't fall under "All men are created equal". Obviously the founding fathers aren't the bastions for freedom, fairness, and liberty that conservative white males tend to make them out to be. The word of the founding fathers is not without fault, and the idea that they did not hold archaic and outdated views on some concepts is ridiculous. To be fair he's pretty spot on. Sanders is a self-proclaimed socialist and that alone would turn a number of independents and even a number of democrats against voting for him.

Plus Sanders is better suited to the Senate. The US needs him there far more than it does in the White House.
