I don't know what you are talking about. American politics is almost inherently right-wing. Rightist Republicans and center-right Democrats are all that get elected, and parties like the Socialist Alternative or CPUSA are so small that "minuscule" doesn't properly define their smallness. Elizabeth Warren, despite her populist rhetoric, is a centrist at best. There is no American left-wing.

To be fair, the socialists seem to split up into a million different factions and a million different parties. No other political ideology has that problem.

Modern Fascism has this problem, somewhat. Not as bad as socialists do.

Unfortunately, this is true. The piles of shit that cover the comments section of most videos are just too much to all be trolls; at some point it has to stop being funny when other people are doing the same exact thing. The vast amount of trolls trying to be edgy and offensive, from back when they were trolls, have lead to lunatic fringes believing their shit is acceptable, when they're either too old or too dumb (or both) to realize what a troll is.

I fear that with the conservatives in control (rather than a balance of the spectrum, because the left has some bullshit too, don't deny), we as a species will decline drastically, and then Interstellar will be based on a true story (also, replace the black guy and the woman with old christian heterosexual white men, this is the conservative future, remember).

The difference I see in fascists is "how much racism is okay" and the growing divide between intellectual white nationalists (American Renaissance) and their more brutalist counterparts, at least mainly in the US. Otherwise they differ very little in actual substance, with maybe left and right factions.

Marxism alone has revisionist and anti-revisionist parts, orthodox and classical, Trotskyism vs M-L, etc.

I think the right wing is in a sliiiiight rise right now because of people that are old right now and have prejudice (of course not only old people). In my experience, most people don't particularly think of themselves as leftist, rightist or centrist. They just sort of try to get by.

Now, as for the aspects of politics lately that you mentioned, xenophobia rising et al, it's more like the number of people disinterested and disappointed in mainstream politics is rising, and naturally extremist movements, particularly on the far right, derive no small amount of political capital from that.

I wouldn't say it's becoming a minority position, but rather the nature of the left is changing (often faster than the traditional leftist parties can keep up with). No longer is it so much about 'class' and the like, but rather about people's place and voice in society, and our interaction with the world around us.
