The mystic or talking board that you know, has a tradition prior to the 20th century. In the 19th century, for example, the alphabet was laid down, in a circle, in a table and a glass cup was used as the pointer. It was a parlor game, with no foundation and no purpose other than entertain. That's the problem with that kind of mysticism. It serves no real purpose other than that of entertainment. It means nothing, it teaches nothing and in no way is it evidence of another world or of the existence of spirits. To me, it's just pish posh.
