I was born in Rhode Island and lived there for my whole life, except for a week in Pennsylvania and a few weeks in Massachusetts. Being a conservative Protestant in a majority Roman Catholic and atheist/agnostic state is very weird. Taxes are way too high and the roads are the worst in the country. Finding a job isn't easy and our new democrat governor is going to spend even more tax money on stupid social programs. If you're thinking about moving here, DON'T.

That's my point; in the rare case that anyone is insane enough to even contemplate moving here, I'm telling them to stay away.

(A lot of the Wright brothers plane testing was here, including the first successful flight.)
(We were the first of the colonies to declare independence, plus we have a cool museum over at guilford courthouse, and the old mill.)
(Also we have a s#!7 government right now.)
9EDIT: Also blackbeard came here some, funny how pretty much every state on the map has a lot of interesting history if you dig deep enough.)
