theres a difference between going to the hospital because you had a heart attack and going there to commit murder.

I find it hard to believe, at times, that any of the people who describe abortion as murder honestly believe that. I mean, who sees someone they think is about to commit murder, and decides to make up some placards and protest?

You generalized abortion to murder. I just followed your example. If you make something that isn't murder, murder, then you're lessening the value of the term and the victims of actual murders.

As reported, it does seem like a crime that deserves prison time.
There's a few unknowns though. What was in the bottle? How close was it to the protestors? If it wasn't close at all, was that due to an inept throw or was it deliberate?

Intent makes a lot of difference. There's a criminal intent in throwing a bottle of water with a smoldering rag in the top (looks like a molotov cocktail but isn't): it could be construed as a threat or it could cause indirect injury by alarming the protestors ... but it would be a hell of lot less serious than thowing something she intended to cause a fire.
Criminal intent seems to be there (by the reported covering up of her number plate).
If Toney (wrongly) thought that such a small bottle was likely to kill someone (by explosion or by a large fireball), she filled it with something she knew to be explosive or highly flammable, and she was aiming at someone but missed, that could be attempted murder.
But aggravated assualt is probably the top end of how serious the crime was. Probably two or three years non-parole.

Molotov cocktails can also be called a "petrol bomb" but they're not actually bombs. They're incendiary devices. If the petrol splashes in quantity onto a person, or the fireball is big enough to be accidentially inhaled, they do pose a threat to life. But petrol only explodes if its vaporized before ignition, and molotov cocktails don't do that. They make a puddle of petrol and immediately set it alight ... if the glass bottle breaks and they "work".

I assumed before that the Gum Off bottle had that particular petrol additive in it. But it could just have been a bottle Toney chose because it was small. It's a 6 oz (177 ml) bottle, which even if it was full of petrol and broke open, would make a burning pool no larger than half a square metre with flames initially to about waist height.

From KXVAN source we have a picture of the bottle. The caption is "Central Texas Coalition for Life says this Molotov cocktail was thrown at one of its volunteers." It's very likely the picture was taken by one of the protestors ... I just installed an exif viewer for Firefox but I have to restart the browser to make it work (long story) ... maybe someone else can check that.

Again the picture of a full bottle of Gum Off. The volume in millilitres is just legible at the bottom.

The "rag" is tissue paper. It's hard to tell at that resolution if there is any liquid (petrol or otherwise) though Gum Out additive is excluded due to its color. The tissue paper has a 'blobbiness' above the mouth of the bottle but below the burnt end which may indicate it is sodden with some clear liquid.

But most interestingly, that's a plastic bottle isn't it?

No matter what group it is, the woman should be jailed for attempted murder or something of that nature. They're (kind of) peaceful protesters, that kind of response wasn't needed.
