Besides, I don't want to live in a British Commonwealth country because I dislike monarchies (even constitutional ones). That pretty much limits me to Ireland if I wish to stay within the Anglosphere.

I know that there are no countries that have ever existed that precisely match my political ideals, but I hope that I can find one that at least could be called "sane", even if it is still somewhat capitalistic.

Yeah, I know I sound incredibly naive right now, don't I? I know my country has a fair number of redeeming aspects, but they are definitely getting harder and harder for me to see.

I've been to Italy. It was interesting to visit but I certainly have no desire to live there. Besides, it would be totally pointless to move there for political reasons, and it has a relentlessly hot climate in my personal opinion. Spain has much the same problems.

USA isn't exactly the only nation with free elections... and I'd argue that there are even countries with "freer" elections. Other than that, I understand where you're coming from.

The point is, where ever there are free elections, people who you disagree with are going to win from time to time, England votes labor, England votes tory, France goes socialist, France goes rightist. I wish American politics required more coalition building, but I don't know how we constitutionally get there.

I really liked Vienna. It is the only European city I have been to thus far that I could imagine living in for an extended period.

I liked the Czech Republic from a cultural standpoint, but the entire country felt like it was still in the 1960s or 1970s, even in the heavily touristed areas.

In terms of been in a relationship with, I got one.

Been on dates with, despite not originally intending to? One, maybe two.

For a total of three. Good shit, right?

You know, it would probably be wise to stay where I am. I don't exactly have a "life" or even many "friends" to speak of, but it was difficult enough just to get to the point where I am now, and I am not 100% sure if I really want to start all over. I wouldn't mind living in another country for 6 months or so though and then returning home. That would be quite interesting.

Your young, on another side it's a great time go. I was offered a transfer to Stockholm, if I didn't have a wife and kids, I would have taken it.
