But if she needs to make sure they don't know about one another, doesn't that include the premise that they would choose differently if they knew the truth? If not, why keep it from them?

They are not harmed by the omission of information that effects all in the situation the possessor of said information acknowledges their awareness that this information would be desired, and responds by concealing it?

If this is not harm, I fear the harmless.

And next you'd expect me to open my sex life to them, that would hurt them much more

I value sex below the value of allowing people the freedom to choose knowingly, not have others make their choice by limiting information by actively denying it to those who would want to know (and choose differently if thew knew).

Can that affect one's sexual practices? I suppose it can, and perhaps should, if one has sex with other human beings.

But the idea isn't exclusive to or even about sex.

It's about as soon as it's okay for you to get the outcome you want by denying others information that they would want to know and would choose differently if they knew, you are reducing their freedom by reducing their access to information.

Doing it to machines is an information management style. Doing it to employees is a management style. Doing it to soldiers is a military strategy.

Doing it to people you care about and who care about you is what reveals what "care about" means to you.

I have no expectations.

Here's an idea: I see both sides in this Kannap deal and I don't see the fuss. Why don't we just let people live and commit their own mistakes and we just focus on something else. Like the stock market or how to best cook someone in the jungle?
