I would've thought that is exactly the harm. There would be no harm if they did know and agree to it. People can only make fair choices with fair information. If you take those choices away from them, it's not fair.

I'm bad at relationships. We only sleep with one another, but she doesn't want anyone to know we are sleeping together because we do business with the same people.

When we were married, I cheated on her. A lot. Sometimes openly.

I feel worse about the times it wasn't open.

But if she needs to make sure they don't know about one another, doesn't that include the premise that they would choose differently if they knew the truth? If not, why keep it from them?

They are not harmed by the omission of information that effects all in the situation the possessor of said information acknowledges their awareness that this information would be desired, and responds by concealing it?

If this is not harm, I fear the harmless.
