Welcome to public office - sometimes you might have to do two things at once.

The fact that she would even use that as an excuse is more than enough to suggest she doesn't deserve to serve in any administrative body higher than a PTA.

I wonder what would happen if we did that to Obama.

Conservatives have done that to Obama. They've challenged his birth constantly, claimed he is destroying the constitution, etc. He's dealt with it as any professional politician should- with a shrug of the shoulder and then back to his job.

He's professional. Palin is not.

Why would calling out an accuser be trolling? While he accused me of not being informed.

Nah, it wasn't based on that post. Just your posts in general.

Pros:
Renwed positive world opinion of United States - 100% Correct for Europe, 50% correct for MIddle East I guess and similar for Far East - This is important as China holds the vast majority of US deficits.

Sending more troops to Afghanistan - Not enough to subdue the country too much to pull out quickly, on balance I have to say he chosen correctly. Generals subdue the enemy and the population and Obama is playing a long game where Al -Quaida can't recruit new fighters. It's going to take a while - Al Quaida hated the US in Clinton's time and Bush had seven years to piss them off even more.

Ending torture - On this alone he deserves the Nobel Prize! The US tortures = Everybody can torture.

Halting of collapse of American financial system - Are you listening Rush Lumbaugh, what was your solution anyway? Public Lynchings?

Call to close Guantanamo - Do more than call, Barak, you're the chief of staff. Give Guantanamo back to Cuba and solve two problems at once. Cuba has more doctors than your Medicare Bill needs....think!

Making the White House a scientist friendly place again - Not just for America but for mankind as a whole - (JFK on the Apollo Missions). Welcome to Camelot II (with a better soundtrack).

Negatives:
Keeping more troops in Iraq than promised - 100% agree. Don't make the 'warlords R' us' mistake of Afghanistan but work with one of the most progressive Islamic societies that existed. US backed Ba'ath party when they fought Iran - US needs to stop having 'interests' in this region as a whole.

Not getting anything in return for a 'humble' foreign policy - Except winning "jaw-jaw instead of war-war" - 100% disagree. The planet does not revolve around the US electoral calendar WORK IT OUT.

Lying about bills going online, about media coverage of health care negotiation and promise never to hire lobbyists. - Don't know too much about this, however this seems to link directly into the next few points. If you DO have a cull of lobbyists in Washington, who the feck are going to feed and water your senators?

Failure of Copenhagen - See 'lobbyists' above. www.facebook.com/nosaynotax - My protest page on Copenhagen.

Failure to close Guantanamo - See above. Close it? Keep it as a museum of America's last days as an evil empire.

Failure in dealing with Honduras - Not enough info. this side of the pond for me to comment.

Failure in dealing with Israel - Agree, more if you mentioned Palestine. He is hamstrung, however by the fact that Israel's traditional allies within the US are calling him Muslim. Anyway, that's Hillary's job :-D That's what she gets for slagging him off in the primaries.

Failure in dealing with Iran - *ahem* Human rights crackdown, stolen election, green revolution, - he's doing fine, this tinderbox does NOT need a sermon in human rights from the US - Either CIA or Iranian Government killed one of their senior nuclear scientists - do try to keep up - either way Obama's silence reflects a smarter President than the last three the US have had, I hated but rated Reagan.

Failure in dealing with North Korea - Have they nuked you recently? Didn't think so. They tested their first nuke as George W Bush was in the hot seat. Obama went to China and, I'm sure, pointed out that Beijing is a hell of a lot closer to Pongyang than NY

Politically motivated bail out of Detroit instead of allowing it to go into bankruptcy - thus some of your relatives and friends have a paycheck for Christmas, New Year and the January bills as opposed to....oh yeah, a collapsing economy. Did anyone here ever see Robocop - set in a Detroit with no auto industry - I bet he did. Seriously, American cars are starting to creep into European markets - seriously, I live in rural France and I see Caddy's, Dodge vipers and Chryslers here.

Sure, you can file, but there is a threshold that happens before it's actually investigated. If there is merit, then there is a hearing to determine if the charge is in fact valid. Kinda how the system works.

Right, because at the slightest accusation she was hauled off in handcuffs and locked away...no, wait, she wasn't. Cute.
Top Dawgg wrote: She was spending so much time defending herself and serving FOIA requests that the job of being governor was suffering.

Is that the reason now? I though she didn't want to be a lame duck, or she wanted to focus on national affairs, or was pursuing something more lucrative, like a paid spot on a national news channel...

Hey, you could go on a lengthy taxpayer fishing trip researching years old things like his wife's real estate deals and maybe, after millions spent, you can catch him out on a blow job.
"...I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in the stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Council-er or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can't agree with your methods of direct action;" who paternalistically feels he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by the myth of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait until a "more convenient season." -MLK Jr.

"Chicagoland tactics"?

So Barack Obama was able to take down Sarah Palin before he had even won the elections? Serious skills.

Top Dawgg wrote:She was spending so much time defending herself and serving FOIA requests that the job of being governor was suffering.

She's the Governor of Alaska, for Christ's sake, not Alexander Kerensky.

Was she really so stressed that she could not even multi-task?

If so, I doubt she would make a very good President.

Top Dawgg wrote:I wonder what would happen if we did that to Obama. Wait, he sealed his records, so we cant FOIA them.

WHERE'S THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE, OBAMA?!

Top Dawgg wrote:Maybe we can get him buried under a pile of ethics complaints. Wait, George Soros has more money then God.

Whereas Sarah doesn't have a dime to her name, of course.

We all know how notoriously impoverished those Alaskan governors can be.

Penguin takes chainsaw to dawg. Fatality. Damn that would be a funny picture.
Crimes committed by Muslims will be a pan-Islamic plot and proof of Islam's inherent evil. On the other hand crimes committed by non-Muslims will merely be the acts of loners who do not represent their belief system at all.
The probability of one's participation in homosexual acts is directly proportional to one's public disdain and disgust for homosexuals.
If a political figure makes an accusation of wrongdoing without evidence, odds are probable that the accuser or an associate thereof has in fact committed the very same act, possibly to a worse degree.
