How can you be free if you deny people freedom?

Well non-Christians don't get no freedom. Why? Because if you ain't Christian, you ain't welcome in America. America for Christians. Freedom for Christians. In a godless world, America must be the last hope for Christians worldwide.

I seem to recall reading three things in the bible:
1: Humans are "forgiven" of ALL "sins", homosexuality, murder, rape, eating shellfish, etc.
2: Angels dont have that right, from what you are saying there are two roads from here: 1) Angels are slaves, literally satan rebelled because god would not let the angels have more freedom. 2) Angels are not christian, therefore it is ok to enslave them.
3: Its okay to have slaves so long as they are foriegners.

America is a Christian nation. The Founding Fathers may have been secularists but the power belongs to the people! The American people are Christians! The Marxists are just fabricating the lies to push for an anti-religious agenda. Sooner or later, our Judeo-Christian roots will be lost.

The American people are Christian, Muslims, Jews, Janes, Buddhists, Hindus, atheists, Jedi, Satanists, etc. The Constitution specifically forbids the government promoting one religion over another or religion over non-religion. The roots of this country are not in the bible, it is rather in enlightenment thinking. In fact, in some ways it is specifically against Christianity since Christianity supported the divine right of kings and this country rebelled against that.

But seriously, America isn't a Christian nation. Anyone can worship whatever, or whoever they want without government involvement/persecution. Saudi Arabia is an example of a religiously dominated nation. They will throw you in jail for doing certain things tat disagree with Islam and issue Fatwas for religious reasons.

America is a hyper-Christian nation. American secular progressive liberalism is a Christian school of thought that just so happens to have left behind God and the Bible. The only meaningful opposition it has in government and society is of course, the older, theistic form of Christianity.

So in effect, a Christian nation. One that doesn't even recognize the dominant form of Christianity (nontheistic) as a religion and thus a nation in which church and state, in effect, have no separation whatsoever.

It is, culturally. The culture is dominated by Christianity.

Secularism is important to understand America's foundations far more than their culture. The Federalist Papers and Jefferson's discussions about the topic through his letters with others shed light into this clearly.

I had a cousin that served in Iraq and fought for my country's freedom and people just categorized him to these "war criminals". As someone in their early-teenage-years born in america who only left briefly to go to Mexico when he was two years old I can not compare the US to other nations, but one thing is for sure, our government is s###. It is corrupt, a large portion of the nation does not vote (They then complain about the government), education is in the toilet, we are making thousands of tanks that we will never use (That were designed for wet, cool environments, even though we keep going to dry, hot environments for warfare) simply because a politician wanted to make the defence contractors happy, we have a few nitwits wanting to declare a national religion, marijuana is illegal even though its safer than the cigarettes you can run up to the store and buy, fat foods are too cheap, and the government is literally filled with psychopaths and puppet masters.

Considering some of the other leaders of Western nations, such as Tony Abbott, I don't think the wide base of U.S. voters are that much more poorly informed on average. Our culture and ideals are mostly shaped by the ruling class, same as many other states, we have different ideals based upon the utility of these ideals for the shapers.

All capitalist countries are oppressive, as are all countries currently identifying with communism, especially those which make us of third world exploitation. To say they are not oppressive is like saying the British Empire wasn't oppressive compared to the U.S. because they abolished slavery.

My point is that you cannot name any countries which are significantly less oppressive than the U.S., the most you can do is show they have a more enlightened form of oppression (just as there were far more enlightened sorts of slavery than that practiced in the U.S.). To single out the U.S. as the home of the oppressive and cowardly is tedious slight against the people who live here, our discrepancy in wealth being greater than most Western nations means we have more people who are oppressed, not who are oppressive. China is guilty of far more human rights violations than we are, but to say China is the land of the oppressive and cowardly is crypto-jingoism.

Not necessarily. Denmark isn't oppressive, for example. It's citizens are the happiest in the pworld and it is the least corrupt country in the world. There you go. One modern Capitalist Country that is significantly less Oppressive than the US. I could make a whole list, in fact. It's easy to be less oppressive than the US. It's a low bar.
