They have a "let them into water for a night" witchcraft, my mom did that, put them in the fridge and in the following days there were lots of bubbles and it smelled weird.

She tried another time but she forgot them or got too lazy to cook (happens to often with her ¬_¬) so still no.

I've eaten them in salads in restaurants and it was quite boring. To the exception of black-eyed peas that are best served marinated in molho à campanha, legumes need fried garlic refogado or else they taste bad.

Tío, try a Turkish lentil soup recipe. I think you'd love them that way.

Our way, except we eat it vegetarian, just with garlic, onions, and in my case, curry. (I add it to my own plate because mom hates it as all hell.) I also add tomato sauce to pinto beans (feijão carioquinha) in my plate, that we eat as staple. (Black and other darker beans aren't quite so liked in this side of our family.)

I have an extreme distaste for vegetables cooked together with meat. One can use them for seasoning (say, carrots and bell peppers in minced meat), but anything resembling feijoada... no. xD

More or less. I'm even worse. Aside mixing things that shouldn't be mixed, I put weird seasonings where they don't belong.

I think the only things I wouldn't cook using soy sauce or thyme are desserts.
Nanatsu no Tsuki wrote:That's cuz you haven't tried them the Asturian way.

My mom wouldn't find some way to cook exotic recipes, certainly, I'd need to find a Spanish restaurant.

I have my poréns with strong-tasting red meat, though, as I already mentioned.

1. Keep both, as if one crashes or doesn't load a particular website that well you can just open the other.
2. Illegal in some US jurisdictions and in the U.S. military:
Several states independently passed acts making it illegal under state law, including Kansas in March 2010,[99] Georgia and Alabama in May 2010,[100][101] Tennessee and Missouri in July 2010,[102][103] Louisiana in August 2010,[citation needed] Mississippi in September 2010,[citation needed] and Iowa.[104] An emergency order was passed in Arkansas in July 2010 banning the sale of synthetic cannabis.[105] In October 2010, the Oregon Board of Pharmacy listed synthetic cannabinoid chemicals on its Schedule 1 of controlled substance, which means that the sale and possession of these substances is illegal under the Oregon Uniform Controlled Substances Act.[106] According to the National Conference of State Legislatures, several other states are also considering legislation, including New Jersey, New York, Florida, and Ohio.[103] Illinois passed a law on July 27, 2010 banning all synthetic cannabinoids that goes into effect January 1, 2011.[107] Michigan banned synthetic cannabinoids in October 2010,[108] and the South Dakota Legislature passed a ban on these products which was signed into law by Gov. Dennis Daugaard on February 23, 2012 (and which took immediate effect under an emergency clause of the state constitution).[109] Indiana banned synthetic cannabinoids in a law which became effective in March 2012.[110] North Carolina banned synthetic cannabis by a unanimous vote of the state senate, due to concerns that its contents and effects are reasonably similar to natural cannabis, and may cause equal effects in terms of psychological dependency.[111][112]

Following cases in Japan involving the use of synthetic cannabis by Navy, Army and Marine Corps personnel resulted in the official banning of it,[113] a punitive general order issued on January 4, 2010 by the Commander Marine Corps Forces, Pacific prohibits the actual or attempted possession, use, sale, distribution or manufacture of synthetic cannabis as well as any derivative, analogue or variant of it.[114] On June 8, 2010, the U.S. Air Force issued a memorandum that banned the possession and use of Spice, or any other mood-altering substance except alcohol or tobacco, among its service members.[115]
