They unleashed the nightmare that is Piers Morgan, and for that I shall never forgive them!

Anyway, do you realize what the Mongols have done to the world? And yet I don't hate the Mongols. I actually rather like the Mongols. What their ancestors did doesn't matter. They are not them.

Hell, if you're Indian, the people you really ought to hate are Central Asians. I mean, have you looked up Timur Khan? And yet, I doubt you have any particular hatred of Uzbeks.

The Brazilian borders are so poorly drawn. x_x

Most of Santa Catarina between the rivers Iguaçu and the upper Uruguay river was território contestado between Argentina and Brazil until much later in the 19th century.

The point is to show the territorial claims made by the constituent components of the Viceroyalty of Rio de la Plata in the explored and (sort of) settled districts of the Southern Cone, not necessarily to show effective territorial occupation and governance of those territories.

A map drawn by the Portuguese colonial authorities - and indeed the early Empire of Brazil - would of course show different boundaries.

I can't say anything that hasn't already been said, most likely in much greater detail.

My position hasn't changed, nor will it for the foreseeable future. The Falklands should remain British until the population decide otherwise, to hell with whatever excuse anyone can cook up.

Of course it's not racist. I mean, they're British. It's impossible to be racist against the British, and even if it were it'd be okay because they're all imperialist racists.

Because it's an economic ultra-liberal paradise and 2% of the population holds over 50% of the country's wealth.

Argentina's only claim to the islands is that (if I'm even correct) they once had a COLONY there, and that probably happened after the British showed up, or close to that point! There was (from what I can tell) no Argentinians living on the island at that time, or ever, so it was contested land. Well, the British happened to win that contest and they've been in charge ever since, so what right do the Falklands have to make claim over the Isles now? They haven't lost anything of historical importance, no one has lost their homes, livelihoods, or anything else of importance to them, and Argentina itself has lost nothing as a whole either, nothing that they owned anyways. This would be like the French trying to demand that Canada be given to them because they used to occupy part of it, only in that case you can still make the argument that the natives were there first, so it's their choice. No such happening in Argentina, so leave it to Britain, sit down, and go find oil somewhere else!
"Take Fascism and remove the racism, ultra-nationalism, oppression, murder, and replace these things with proper civil rights and freedoms and what do you get? Us, a much stronger and more free nation than most."
"Tell me, is it still a 'revolution' or 'liberation' when you are killing our men, women, and children in front of us for not allowing themselves to be 'saved' by you? Call Communism and Democracy whatever you want, but to our people they're both the same thing; Oppression."
"You say manifest destiny, I say act of war. You're free to disagree with me, but I tend to make my arguments with a gun."
Since everyone does one of these: Impeach Democracy, Legalize Monarchy, Incompetent leadership is theft.

Once again;
The Falklands are a healthy self-governed democracy, where its people decide regarding their small nation's future through elections, as such they've decided they want to remain a part of Britain and continue to do so up to this very day. The mere existence of Falklanders and their clear decision regarding the matter is the reason that Argentina's claim is against human rights and international law. Furthermore, even by history's right the Islands can not be called Argentinian, or even Spanish, before they can be called French and first and foremost; British.
Desire the Right!
