All I can say is nope.

America has always been secular and it should fucking remain secular.

Problem with adopting Christianity as a national religion: which denomination is going to be more powerful than the others in the legislature?

How many countries in Europe have Christian majorities as large or larger than the US? And yet they are all different in their cultures both from the US and from each other.

B. Who said anything about ceasing? I'm saying they wouldn't have anymore grounds than they already do. They're not gonna cease so long as they still have breath.

I find it just as hard to believe that having won so great a victory as establishing Christianity as the official religion of the US that they would fail to capitalise upon it, whatever form that victory took.

A. I think you're making the mistake of assuming Christianity is a homogenous concept, it is not. And there are many facets of culture, religion being one of those facets. That facet of American Culture, is largely Christian. I don't get why this is such a hard concept to understand.

B. No, they would capitalize on it, what I'm saying is they wouldn't net any gains off it.

Here in America? I don't trust Americans by enabling them to recognize their fucking tripe about "America was founded on CHRISTIAN values" and never will.

They don't care because they choose not to care and they already experienced the result of having the church control everything. The English Civil War.

I'd rather people learn from history and not repeat the same mistakes.

The poll was not of the entire US or even of the Republican party. So that is not an accurate statement.
