White Pride

Hello everyone.So, I just saw a short documentary on a White Student Union: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJ_MHp8iqtQ
The video is not the subject I wish to discuss, I just posted it as an introduction.

This Union featured in the documentary advocates, partly, for "white pride" and the things associated with it.Is white pride acceptable? Should whites be allowed to hold unions such as this in order to celebrate and preserve their cultural heritage? Is it racist?

In my opinion, although the leader of the WSU in the video posted above makes interesting points (Of which the fact that other ethnic groups are "allowed" to have their own pride), I am forced to disagree with any sort of "white pride" on the matter.As the teacher said at some point, Black and Latino movements for pride often originate in places where they are or were historically a minority.

An argument of my own now is that "White pride" has an history of hatred with the KKK and the Confederate States of America, namely, and also the fact that the belief that whites are more evolved than other ethnic groups pushed for slavery, whereas "Black pride" or "Latino pride" (Not talking about the Black Panthers or the Aztlan advocates) are more oriented towards peace, and don't have any significant baggage.

No. White Pride is not acceptable, white pride caused the starvation, slavery and death of millions of people. It has caused imperialism, colonialism, genocide and a lot of other horrible things. White people should be aware of their privileges but not be proud of it. White Pride is one of the most fascist and reactionary things in the world. It is a horrible thing. Individual culture is ok but pride for the most aggressive horrible race in existence is a horrible thing. I am white and I still think white history is horrible.

Yeah, it seems like they're confusing skin color with ethnicity. Why not call it "Anglo-American/German/etc. heritage Pride" or something like that?

Pride isn't about how you look, it's about who you are. Skin colour has no bearing on this, it's just a way entitled people can blame their sense of entitlement on something.

white pride is good, white people should be proud too, just like everyone else, and you know nothing about your history, other then your foolish American history.

As said in my post, I do not advocate for white pride.I am even against it.

But let me remind you that "Hispanic" or "Latin pride" also caused slavery, starvation and death (When the Spanish colonized the Americas, just like the British did)."Black Pride" can also be linked to slavery since most of the slaves were sold by other (African) tribes to the European slavers.

If you push far enough, all "prides" will lead to some disgusting thing.

See, there's nothing wrong with having American pride or French pride or even Belgian pride but there doesn't really seem to be a "white culture" and that suggests any white pride movement is not about protecting or celebrating culture but rather is some reactionary movement to other pride movements.

Honestly why can't everyone be color blind?

American pride, French pride, Nigerian pride, German pride, Syrian pride, I am all for that, I support nationalism and I support the nationtstate.

but not black pride, latino pride, or white pride.

Honestly anyone who is saying they are proud of their race is racist, we are all human and are all one race, but if blacks can say it, then so should whites.

Actually, I have studied history from throughout the world and White Pride has a history of being reactionary, dangerous and fascist.

I'd agree, but only to a limited extent.Even then I'd look at an "Anglo-American Pride" with a bad eye.
Latino prides and Black prides are justified because most of Hispanic countries and most of African-Americans have the same culture (Not the exact same, but it's the same body).

A black pride movement is about bringing attention and hopefully justice to the issues that black people face, like differences in police treatment. What racial issues do white people face in the west?

Only to the same extent that all white Europeans have the same culture. What makes African-American identity more worthy than Anglo-American, or German-American, or Irish-American, etc.?

Can you prove otherwise, can you show that white pride help innovate and help mankind? No, it didn't it caused the death of 6 million jews and the deaths of millions of others.
