I don't actually know anyone other than a few old people who even have land lines. Most everyone just uses a cellphone.

Well businesses still use landlines as a matter of practice and many triple packages from telecom companies still offer land lines.

However, most of those "landlines" are already switching to VoIP protocol instead of the old landline system.

So it's not just "poor Americans" who can't drink the water -- there are all sorts of agencies trying to make sure your own people don't die from lack of sanitary drinking water.

I think Dakini tried to explain that to him. I have a friend who carefully drank nothing but bottled water in Mexico, then went to an American chain restaurant (I want to say Planet Hollywood, but I am not 100% sure) and ordered a salad.

Which of course had NOT been washed in bottled water.

She was so sick a doctor had to come to her hotel to treat her.

The doggy bag thing is something I do find very odd. If I want food that someone else has cooked in my house then I'll just get a takeout. Eating part of a meal in a restaurant and then taking the rest home just seems weird to me.

I finish the entire thing, to be honest.

Then again, our meals are based around working out in the field and then eating big meals; not necessarily on a regular lifestyle.

It's not considered ok to fly the confederacy flag everywhere here.
And I would not think you'd want to start a conversation about police/military and murder.

If someone flies the confederate flag in Honolulu, it won't be long till they are committed to a mental asylum.

And I don't mean to brag, but generally speaking, we here in Hawaii don't have any of that police brutality and racism issues.
