Read it in context. Ever heard of "tongue in cheek" i.e. not seriously intended. Or perhaps satire, i.e. use of ridicule. The inflammatory part is the shooting. What say you about the civility (or otherwise) of that?

No one was warned for "religion of peace." I was simply heading it off at the pass, as it were, because it is inflammatory. The OP may have been being sarcastic. Doesn't matter. The fewer people we have here throwing that phrase around, the happier we'll all be and an actual discussion can happen. No, you misinterpret what I said. I never said it was allowable because it was a statement of fact. I said I would prefer people didn't use the term because it can be a trigger phrase for trolling and flaming. The less of that kind of thing there is, the better off we'll all be. Honestly this whole affair with ISIS/ISIL is a futile one. If they want to die for their religion, let them. I would personally chalk up the terrorism attacks in Europe to ISIS influence (although i have nothing to support that allegation). The cause of ISIS is young and in it's youth it's made very considerable enemy's that will lead to it's ultimate downfall. People, regardless of how zealous they are, tire of getting obliterated by foes who are superior in all aspects.

I think the difference is viruses and bacteria don't mess up your GI tract out of hatred, or anger, or a desire for vengeance, or any of the other common human motivations for violence.
