yes basically. good job.

but seriously what i mean is that if

1) you make things up about another attack (why would you do that that's seriously not funny)
2) you were telling the truth but people can't tell if you made it up or not because you have a record of making things up in this exact scenario

you probably have a problem.

I beg to differ it is now when people need humor the most when the bounds that bind us together are strained when we are most prone to divide into us vs them. That is when we need to laugh the most.

Okay so have they actually confirmed that "Arabic looking" is actually Arabic or is it just that anyone with brownish skin is a terrorist?

You realise this is data from 7 years ago ?
Islamic terrorism has sadly picked up somewhat since then. Though agreed, in *Europe* it is still not impressive.

According to Wikipedia, "Da'wah" refers to the "proselytizing or preaching of Islam." Who is preventing this from happening?

If this man was a Muslim, the only one silencing his Da'wah is him. God does not permit violence, and neither do the people. If he was worried for Da'wah, or the Ummah, or for the blessings of God, he would have expressed himself in words and not in bullets.

Not just religion, almost everything can have a violent interpretation.

Which is why we are currently plagued with Anarcho-Capitalist terrorism.

Oh wait...

It seems that a certain few obvious groups are responsible for this violence. Why are people so afraid to point out that something is inherently wrong with a belief system when its adherents shoot up free speech conferences?

Achieving fundamental reform in your religion takes a lot more than "we condemn the attacks and not all of us are like that, they aren't true followers". It takes an actual, cohesive effort.

Bad example. The police crackdown after the Boston Bombing focused on just harassing a bunch of innocent, non-Muslim Americans who had nothing to do with the attacks. The whole manhunt for Tsarnaev turned into a needlessly bloody wild-goose chase.

Islam is in dire need of something akin to the Enlightenment. The Protestant Reformation was most notable for sparking a hundred+ years of Christians killing each other in massive numbers. Seems unlikely that would help the current situation.

Fair enough, but there needs to be check point on all major roadways and mandatory searches of all people trying to leave the city. If you are innocent then you have nothing to hide!

Because the Reformation solved the issues with Christianity and indeed, the Church as a whole. For the most part, the Catholic Church only grew in size and influence, with corruption and abuse only coming to the surface in recent decades.

Sure, the Protestants don't have as many issues as they once did, but partially sectarian conflicts like the one that tore apart Northern Ireland are evidence that even reform to a more purist form of Christianity that isn't as inherently prone to severe abuses of power cannot make religion inherently peaceful.

Islam has already seen a split between the Sunnis and Shia. Sectarian violence between the two has already cost thousands of innocent people their lives. What needs to happen is for people to ask themselves why extremism is so desirable, both Muslims and non-Muslims.

Sorry, I didn't see the typo.

Obviously, it could do without the religious wars, but the Protest Reformation is important because it was the first major mass questioning of Catholic doctrine and theology, and inspired (for better or worse), a lot of reform. Islam needs this.

Maybe after this, then an Enlightenment will come.
