Why do you want to be stuck in same place for eternity - no matter how large the place is or how awesome experiences are eternity is a long time and before long (from perspective of eternity) you would have explored everywhere and experienced everything near infinite times. Then what? You can't die, you are stuck in a quite monotonous place for ever - that is eternal torture.
Alternatively there is reincarnation, where you suffer massive amnesia and everyone you ever knew or loved dont recognise you and you dont recognise them. Going through the motions for as long as any life form exists with no real purpose or knowledge of what you did previously.

Both of these alternatives are infinitely worse than just peaceful cessation of existence at point of death.

I mean, I like the idea of reincarnation, and of nirvana. I like the idea that because I'm imperfect, I get to start over with a new life. That I'll only truly die when the universe decides I've lived enough. There's a sort of peace to that. For me, at least.

Why?

You know how sometimes you wake up and don't even remember falling asleep? Well, it'll be like that, but you won't wake up. It's not like you'd know that you're dead.

Er... no.

When I reflect on death, the thing which most bothers me is the idea that people I care about will probably be hurt by my loss.

Frankly, I'm glad there's no reason to think I'll be around to see that. Even just knowing that it might be happening would be torment enough.

Luckily, death is a natural part of life, and is inevitable. They'll understand that it had to happen sometime, even if it hurts them.

Er, yes. You won't remember dying because you won't exist.

I agree that reincarnation is preferable to heaven - at least you dont remember your past so you wont go mad but consider the implication of that. This life you are living is only one of a millions that you have already lived and millions more that you will live afterwards and when you 'died' you made everyone were close to you suffer - except you dont remember any of them.
Essentially reincarnation means you are a massive fraud who makes close relationship with several people just to make them suffer and thats fine because you dont remember.

1. What is "Daesh"?
2. It's obvious from the context that they mean't to write "death".
3. You misspelt "misspell".
