If they've done nothing wrong, they wouldn't be getting divorced, because divorce itself is immoral.Soldati senza confini wrote:The United Neptumousian Empire wrote:There's nothing strong about shirking sacred vows. Marriage is a life long contract. If you divorce, then you're an oathbreaker.
Nope. An act of disloyalty makes you an oathbreaker.
The person who did nothing wrong doesn't deserve further guilt because they want to divorce the disloyal person. Theres nothing to feel sorry about leaving a toxic marriage to preserve your self-respect.
I would love my wife, but I will always love myself a bit more.

I like a girl who knows her drinks as opposed to not drinking. I drink alcohol but only on meals.
But that's a bit extreme I'd say. Sure, you don't want an alcoholic but it's difficult to find someone who never drinks.

According to him it was your fault he abused you because you divorced. Why did you divorce? Didn't you get the memo? Clearly it said the blame shifts if you ever divorce so now you are responsible of your ex husband abusing you. *nods*

I wouldn't mind dating a girl that is not of my religion (including non-religious folk), but only if they were to respect my beliefs and not try to force drugs, alcohol, sex, etc on me.

Apparently the only way to remain innocent is to continue to be abused for the rest of your life.

No, you would be correct to have separated yourself from him, for your own well being. In such a situation, I would never remarry, because I do not believe in such. I cannot remarry, if I am still married in the eyes of God.

No, I'm not saying there is any blame on the person who was cheated on, that's disgusting. Why would you even make that assumption? Cheaters suck. But that doesn't matter, marriage is still a holy, life long vow. It can't be dissolved by infidelity.Soldati senza confini wrote:The United Neptumousian Empire wrote:If they've done nothing wrong, they wouldn't be getting divorced, because divorce itself is immoral.
See what you're doing here? You're shifting the blame. Same as when other people call us out when our partners cheat. "You must have done something for them to cheat/abuse you".
Nobody deserves to live in a shit life just because of morals. At least I won't. Its your choice if you can live with a disloyal or abusive partner but I won't be the one in such a relationship so not my business. If I ever am that's why divorce is an option.
