I am no more likely to be under 41 than I was the last time we did this, and I still mildly resent the lack of additional options for those of us over 41.

Just think that after 40, you've reached the pinnacle of awesomeness and there's no way to make an age category for you that does you justice.

I remember that in the first house I lived, it was in a very steep hill, there was a neighboring palm tree I loved a lot when I lived in my first house (from which I could see an enormous amount of my first city and even a bit of the famous parts of Rio, now it has lots of skyscrapers ruining the view partially), and my dad had the fable that a family of animals lived there.

A beautiful day a thunder struck the tree and it burned down. I cried a lot, very worried with their safety and well-being.

The only thing I'm sure is that I was under 3.

I remember my first memory. We lived in a shitty little run down farmhouse. A tornado ended up touching down and plowing through our property and I remember watching shit whiz by from the window in our storm cellar.

The next day we went out to survey the damage and found out the tornado had destroyed our barn. Worse yet it must have picked up our horse, because horse viscera and innards were draped across the wreckage.

My first memory was shit, is what I'm getting at.

Why do I find the horse viscera bit funny?

I've never understood the obsession with the nineties. I like grunge as much as the next guy, but everything else I think kind of sucked.

The cartoons weren't as good as nostalgia blinded people think they were.

At any rate, the 90s kid has more substantial memories rather than snatching ones (i.e. like you describe). But, at least, with '94 one has started school prior to 2000 (which is, obviously a Big Thing).

I'm from late December 1994.

Granted, I completed two grades in 2000 due to moving to a different city, so I always studied around older people (I was by far the youngest in class when I started high school). Started Jardim II in March, started Classe de Alfabetização (now 1º ano do ensino primário) in August. (And had the best grades, 100% 100%, until the third grade.)

Does kindergarten count as school? I took it as seriously.

Why, that's precisely what I said to myself this afternoon while polishing my monocle, waiting for Jeeves to bring me my first G&T of the day, and desperately trying to pump up the number of respondents in the 41+ category.

It looks to me like some players are puppet voting in options #2 and #6.

Which of course renders the poll meaningless. I could ask a Mod to investigate, but I doubt they'd make the effort since puppet voting on a poll isn't a forum offense.

No, it isn't. There are very few situations where puppet abuse is actively actionable, and the only situation I can think of where puppet voting might be actionable is under the very specific rules governing the participation of puppets in certain events in the NS Sports sub-forum.

I find that the majority of younger people on ns are typically mature for their age.

I find the older I get, the less I agree with that statement.
