Disrespect the murdered pilot while simultaneously surrendering to the terrorists? Brilliant plan.

Besides Wisconsin Palm Trees and Mark Foley, Democrat?
Crimes committed by Muslims will be a pan-Islamic plot and proof of Islam's inherent evil. On the other hand crimes committed by non-Muslims will merely be the acts of loners who do not represent their belief system at all.

I don't see how showing the people why we must fight is surrendering.

See you next year.
Do you remember the 2012 election where Mitt Romney said Russia was the biggest threat to world peace and Obama and the Democratic establishment mocked him, mere years before they began arguing they had allowed US sovereignty to be usurped on their watch by Russia and this is why the other side was unfit to govern?
That's alright, neither do they apparently.

Farnhamia, no offense, but can we stop making Fox jokes on a thread about a man being burned to death on TV?

I was only being partly facetious. And there are going to be jokes made about Fox whenever they are mentioned. If I started warning and admonishing people for that ... well, unless it's really egregious, it's not practical to do that.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. The truth about ISIS' brutality does need to be shown but I don't know if that extends to showing video of a man being burned to death. I personally would not watch that.

The fact that millions of American news viewers are total idiots is not germane to the lack of journalistic integrity at Fox.

As far as Fox News' lack of journalistic integrity, http://lmgtfy.com/?q=fox+news+lacks+journalistic+integrity

The sources are far too many for me to reasonably quantify here.

Well, consider how he felt to have it happen to him.
I think the least we can do is watch if we're not going to attack Isis, we need to do so while understanding what we're abandoning people to suffer.
If you can't even bare to look, maybe that suggests we should be doing something.

What was the one where they reversed some poll numbers about the President? I think the retraction was whispered right before they went to a commercial.

Anyway, the topic is not Fox News in general but their airing of the video of that pilot being killed. We ought to stick to that.

Having suffered similar, I'd disagree.

Fox News channel never actually broadcast the video on TV, they merely made the video available on their website.

Providing the enemy with a platform to air their propaganda videos is aiding and abetting the enemy. Not to mention Fox is using the brutal death of a human being for ratings. It's disgusting and dispicable.

You do not need to watch the video of someone being burned alive or stoned to death or shot through the head to know that. It is wrong to use the shock value of such footage for sensationalism.

FCC rules would prohibit its airing, I'm sure. But if Fox News could've broadcast the video on TV, I'm sure they would've.

I'm split on this. Personally, I'd be too "grossed out" for a lack of a better word to watch the clip. But, of course, Fox News has every right to air this.

That being said, whether or not they should have done it us up for debate, and something I'm unsure about.

True, though it is also true what Saiwania says, they didn't show it over the air, just made it available on their web site. That's their call.

So Fox News actually did something I support for once.
By not showing these videos, we are sugarcoating the horrors that they are inflicting upon people.

I wonder if Fox showed stuff like, dunno, Palestinian kids killed by airstrikes, or Iraqis burned by WP weapons... I really wonder.

I love the laughable conceit that someone being burned to death needs to be shown to demonstrate the brutality. As if people would hear, "Burned to death" and go, "Why, that sounds down right pleasant..."
