I wouldn't say so. It's more so that I find many games repetitive in a bad way. Formulaic. I like novel game concepts, or games that are repetitive in a good way, like rogue-likes, but the majority of standard genre titles have changed little over the last ten years.

I asked because I've had a few friends who do that. And I think that over-thinking your gaming makes you enjoy the experience less.

You prefer more novelty when it comes to story-line and gameplay tactics in them then? Because yes, there's a certain formula and you see it in many games.

As of right now, the UK. But I'll likely go to uni abroad, most likely the US.

Goodness kid, tuition over here is a killer. And that's not in a good way. I can't deny there are some good unis in the US but the tuition is too fucking expensive.

Yeah, I like to see new concepts, or familiar genres with interesting concepts. Sometimes just a good story is enough, but I don't enjoy generic games much.
