To be honest, I've been thinking of going to a psychologist/psychiatrist for a while and ask, but I think it's more social anxiety rather than Asperger's... but I'd still like to get it out of the way once and for all and at least know what the fuck I've got.

I'm torn between hyperlexia, Asperger's and ~verbal neurotypical-passing~ autism. Some people say social anxiety but I'm really sure I'm more neuroatypical than that.

being Asberger's, i was different to others when i was younger. as in, i read books, rather than played sports. i became extremely intelligent and knowledgeable because of this (i know where 95% of all countries are and have a fanatical mind about history and science). i am very logical and this causes problems, i became isolated because of being different, it wasn't until i was 13 when i found some decent friends, and im 'inconclusive' about having OCD. The NHS never diagnosed me :-)

Try to start conversations yourself. First do this with your family, and try to cling on.

The weather is always a good start, and ''what have you done last time'' too.

If they say ''good'' about ''what have you done last time'', for instance, you could ask ''What was good?'' and then the person says that, and you say ''aha, and when did you do that?'' if he/she didn't say the date, or something like that, etc. And if you notice that there is something similar to what a person says you've experienced, you can say it. Except if it does not fit in the discussion; such as if it is a non-sexual discussion, you could better not talk about something sexual, etc.

There is a benefit of starting discussions, even if they are not so ''logical or needed''. No you have, yes you can get. This also applies for friends; you never will be able to get friends if you won't start to talk to others yourselves.

I wish you success! :)

This is recognisable for me, but... only 95%? :(

Just kidding! :p

OCD is not being ''wanting everything to be perfect''. OCD is that you do things repetitively, such as closing doors, or saying a 'R' as ''rrrrrr'' because the sound if it is only 'r' does not feel good.

I've experienced that last.

Not autistic. Do have ADD which I've heard may have some sort of connection with autism, and I'm probably just barely outside the autism spectrum in all honesty.

Why would being caring about the phonology be OCD?

Gonna try to prevent this from being a regular one-sided topic megathread by being a huge douchebag and possibly breaking multiple site rules.

Humans are complex beings, who can be said to contain a certain mental duality. This mental duality is the duality of the logical and illogical, the rational and the emotional, rationality and intuition. If we accept a definition of autism to include the breakdown of emotional, intuitionistic wisdom, the removal of a part from a duality essential to humanity, can we say that autism removes humanity from its sufferers?

Yes, I know this is rude, douchebaggish, and horrid. I'll post it anyway, and I won't post stuff like this again.
The Democratic People's Republic of Korea is a genuine workers' state in which all the people are completely liberated from exploitation and oppression. The workers, peasants, soldiers and intellectuals are the true masters of their destiny and are in a unique position to defend their interests.
