Well it's beyond me why the US would possible want or have any right to outright annex any part of the Middle East anyway, so I assumed (and hope) that you were mostly joking about the annexation of Israel into the US part.

For the most part, Israel is sort of an American puppet state anyway. They are completely dependent on the US for pretty much everything, from monetary aid to military to innovation. And the US has a nice little corner in the Middle East they can use to keep the Arabs down (or kill them by the thousands), which is good for the stability of petroleum exports to the US. I wouldn't know what extra advantage the US could possible hope to get if they were to officialise the annexation of Israel as a US state. Seems rather redundant to me.

As to "going down that road", the zionists have been going down the road of colonisation, mass murder and ethnic cleansing for the past 65 years already. With permanent thumbs up from the US. We're not so much talking about a possible dystopic future. It's grim reality.

This is the dumbest thread I've made yet, but still I'd like to talk about it. As we all know Obama has consistently low approval ratings. I for one see no reason to hate him so much, everything he passed was bipartisan, and none of it seems to have caused economic catastrophe. I believe that all this hate against Obama has been caused by populist conservative media that can't tolerate anything that isn't on their standards, and even Liberals now want to jump on the Obama hater wagon by saying he's not leftist enough. Of course I don't think Obama is flawless, liberals expected him to be flawless in 2008, and that obviously hasn't happened. The point here though shouldn't be to just praise him though, I would like this thread to be varied with reasonable criticism from our left and right wing friends on nsg.
