I had a friend who was a Norse pagan. He was, unfortunately, the kind of guy who runs his mouth about loyalty and honor and stabs you in the back later, but yeah, Norse pagan. The only one I've met, actually.

Catholic. Our town is celebrating this week the patron Saint of the City which is the "Virgen de la Candelaria". They have a type of fair in her honor. Originally, she is the Patron Saint of the Canary islands. From the Canary islands it spread to the Caribbean area and onto the mainland of the Americas where many cities and towns have her has patron Saint.

The fact is that I doubt it's alleged niceness, and if you told me what the scientologists believe about the origin of life I'd be able to confirm whether or not I think it nice.

My parents didn't tell me that there was no god or influenced me at all in this case. I even think that my mother belives like there might be a god.

I have always like the Roman culture, and wanted to try their religion out.

Similar for me. I remember our teacher at primary school teaching us about Greek myths and such for "story time" and then having vaguely (Christian) religious-based assemblies and I just couldn't grasp why one was meant to be taken seriously while the other wasn't. If history went a different way everyone would be worshipping completely different gods because that's what would be in cultural circulation. if some post-apocalyptic future civilization finds a copy of Harry Potter, who knows?
