I feel like that was a legitimate concern in the early 2000s...
But Wikipedia is heavily moderated and larger pages, such as the page on Satanism, are usually edit-locked and are usually extremely accurate.

Since when? Since almost always. It is as good a starting point as anything on the internet. Go to the bottom of the article and check the sources, if you don't trust WIki. I don't see why other people should do the research you can do yourself.
