The Inquisition killed indirectly very often because it allied to absolute monarchies that used religious criteria to apply death penalty, slavery, ethnic cleansing, deportations.
I can't find a source that says what you said - all place the number of killings by the Inquisition, direct or indirect, between 3000 and 6000.
EDIT: I just found a source that said anywhere between 100-140 million. Never mind.


That's a bit of a stretch...... I mean, unless you're saying "these are all the lives that could have existed if not for the Inquisition", that's one thing, but that's talking about centuries down the road.
Christian, but equally unhappy with the "better than thou" folks, from both the Theistic and Atheistic side of things. I so much more prefer when we can all just treat people with respect and get along!
